I'll be forever grateful to Annie Clews for inspiring me to 'think out of the box' and be creative. She protected her staff from many of the DfE demands so that we could focus on the children, love them and teach to their needs. She gave me a love of teaching and for the children which I still carry with me today. In the 22 years since, I've not ever had a Head as forward thinking and the years I had at Sunnyhill, in the community she created, are entrenched. Sunnyhill was our home and the relationships within it our family. Such a beautiful, fun and loving woman, inside and out. We were all lucky to have her in our lives. Rest in Peace Annie. Katy Hawkes

"From quiet homes and first beginning, out to the undiscovered ends, there's nothing worth the wear of winning, but laughter and the love of friends"

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
